what it means to be greenPrincipal’s Book Club:
We are happy to announce the start of a new “Principals’ Book Club” at Heights. Because of a generous starter donation, we are able to get this program up and running. With this program, each classroom will be given an IB-centered book to discuss and read together. Then we will have IB learner profile related discussions and reflections via the morning news program.
What Does It Mean To Be Green-This colorful, insightful story, demystifies for children what it means to be green by helping them to view everyday tasks through an environmentally-friendly lens. The book empowers children to do whatever they can to protect the earth’s precious resources. Don’t be surprised if they start coming up with suggestions of their own for you!
If you are interested in helping support the attributes of an IB learner through a donation to the Principal's Book Club, please contact Gay Wilkinson at 481-1761.
