The School District is proud to announce 40 schools have been chosen as PBIS Model Schools by the Florida Department of Education PBIS Project. PBIS refers to Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support, which encompasses research-based strategies used to increase quality of life and decrease problem behavior by teaching new skills and making changes in a person's environment.

Schools can be awarded one of four levels – Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum.

Heights Elementary is honored to be recognized as a Platinum PBIS School. We love watching our students thrive through positivity.
